After graduating high school, Brumley decided to attend Texas State University. She decided Texas State was the perfect school for her because she could stay close to her family and members of her family had gone there for many generations.
While
attending Texas State, Brumley has become an active member in her sorority,
Alpha Delta Pi. She says some of her favorite things to do in San Marcos are to
go to Sewell Park with her sorority sisters and go hiking. When Brumley isn't hanging out with her sisters
or hiking, she is a waitress/bartender at a local country club. To
destress from her busy life, Brumley likes to do yoga daily. When asked, “why yoga?”
she responded, “Because it’s a work out, but you are also in a meditative
state so I can clear my head.” She has aspirations of possibly being a yoga
instructor one day.
Brumley’s goal in life is to simply travel more.
While having been on some exciting trips, she has never been to Europe, and
hopes to one day visit family friends in Sweden.
One of Brumley’s pet peeves is tardiness. She strives
to always be early to things and cannot stand being late. Her personal motto is
“smile as much as possible.”
